The Man Who Would Be King

Watched this again the other night:

A cracking good yarn.

I can see a couple of clever players getting their PCs into the sorts of situations Peachy and Danny find themselves in and getting out of. If that save vs. drugged bride hadn’t failed, they might have gotten away with it.

I have not read the Kipling story, so I do not know how well the film compares to the original.

    Great movie, it made an impression on me as a little kid as did Caine in “Zulu”. I think this one might have somehow stoked the D&D fire a little, whereas Zulu more the war gaming side of me, before movies more directly catering to the D&D craze came about.
