I wanted to get this up and maybe get a little feedback, so even though it’s a bit rough and I don’t have a lot of time to talk about just this minute, here is my take on thieves for Swords & Sorcery White Box:
White Box Thievery
A Sub-Class option for Rogues and Footpads
I haven’t played this yet, so it’s very beta. However, I feel that this sub-class (or additional class) approach solves most of the problems I personally have with the thief, particularly when a large part of explaining how it works really involves how all characters engage in what have come to be called “thief skills.”
Check it out if interested. I’d love to hear what anyone thinks about it.
UPDATE: It seems that I’ve jacked up the PDF a little bit. I didn’t used dedicated PDF creation software, but rather printing software that also can make PDFs. Some of the punctuation marks are missing in the document. I’ll get a corrected version up tonight.
The current version is fine, just some quote marks and such are missing.
UPDATE 2: I’ve got a second draft up now.

Here’s a new version of the 5 sub-hex quad with larger hexes to take up an entire sheet. I’m adding it to the Kilgore Kreations page of free downloads.
Help yourself.

Since the 5-mile is a very common choice, I decided to add a 5 sub-hex version of the quad to the Kreations page. Check it out if interested.
I also did a little clean-up on the 7-hex version I posted yesterday. The newer version (downloadable at the same link as before) is straighter and the file is slightly smaller.
Let me know if you’ve got any ideas for improvements or other versions.

As I’m working on my campaign mapping project, I’ve been trying to work out exactly how I’m going to do things. My original intent had been for my main area map to have 6.25 mile hexes, which would allow quarter-mile sub-hexes 25 across. After working on things a bit, I decided that this level of detail was too fine and I’ve since upped my base hex size to seven miles. This is actually what I had in mind when I drew up my original region map, so some of the river distances are back to where I originally envisioned them.
Anyway, I decided to cook up a quick 7 sub-hex quad to drill down one level. Once I got something I thought was decent, it was easy enough to turn a blank one into a PDF, so here it is:
Check it out and let me know if you’ve got any suggestions for improvements.
I expect that I’ll have more stuff up in the near future, so I’ve opened up a free download page for my Kilgore Kreations.
UPDATE: I tweaked it a bit to match some other uploads on the Kreation page, including a standard 16×20 hex sheet and a sheet with outlines for quads.
Feedback is welcome.
