Val makes a run for it with the giant lizard's egg - From Hal Foster's PRINCE VALIANT by Gianni and Schultz

We appear to be nearing the end of this arc. In the final panel, though, Prince Valiant stops at a cliff overlooking the sea and asks the giant lizard how much she wants the egg. If he tosses the egg AND IT BREAKS aren’t we likely to see a rampage ten times worse than that already visited upon Camelot?

I hope so.
